ABOUT KENNA BANKS
A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME
Hi, my name is Kenna and I'm a sophomore in college attending Colorado State University. Currently, I am in the Fort Collins area. I am outgoing, motivated, and have a lot of love for the world.
I have been doing different forms of photography my whole life and I love not only being behind the camera but in front of it too. Taking my own pictures has helped me develop an understanding for both sides of the camera. I started taking it seriously in 2020 and invested in my camera that I love. I now have my own business and I am a digital media intern at CSU.

I have done loads of landscape photography, however, my love for photography blossomed with sports and portraits. There is nothing better than seeing the art you created put a smile on someones face. I love doing senior and couple portraits and weddings as well! Photography allows me to be creative and capture memories for clients to cherish. I had an unfortunate incident with my senior pictures, as my photographer was rather expensive and I got a small number of pictures back. I had been overly edited and my confidence diminished. Because of this incident, my goal as a photographer is to make sure my clients walk away happy, confident, and satisfied. There is nothing I love more than to give someone confidence, offer inexpensive options, and make them feel good.

I also understand that having photos done is not something everyone looks forward to because they feel they are not photogenic or they "don't know how to pose." Because of this, I have started doing prompt based shooting.

Prompt based shooting means that instead of telling you to pose in a certain position, my directions give you a motion/action to replicate. Movement can help with avoiding stiffness and also produce a more organic reaction/smile. Sometimes, I do like to throw the occasional pose in there once in a while though!
